A continuation of Space Station 13
One station. Play it in 2D or 3D, in your browser.
Minestation runs the whole game on your own device: no download, no account, no server. Walk the corridors of a full-size station from above, as in classic SS13, or step inside it in 3D.
Early preview. Single-player for now: you share the station with computer-controlled crew. Works with keyboard and mouse, or touch on phones and tablets.

About
Space Station 13 is a game about the crew of a space station on a very bad shift. Minestation is an independent continuation of it. It is not the official SS13, and it is not /tg/station: it is a separate project that builds on their open work.
One game, two views
The 2D and 3D clients are views of the same game. A player in 2D and a player in 3D stand on the same tiles, open the same doors and hear each other talk.
Runs on your device
The simulation runs inside your browser. Multiplayer will use the same connection the clients already speak, so nothing about the clients has to change.
Any screen
Phones and tablets get an on-screen pad and tap controls; desktops get the keyboard and mouse. The game targets current and older browsers alike.
Built on
Minestation's station, sprites and game data come from /tg/station. Its engine work draws on OpenDream and Space Station 14, and some 3D models come from Space Station 3D. Full credits are on their way.
How to contribute
- Play the preview. It is early, and every rough edge matters. A place to report them opens with the project's repository.
- Make things. Sprites, 3D models, maps, sounds and code are all wanted, especially 3D models: thousands of station objects still need one.
- Code. The repository and a contribution guide will be published here.
